CAROLINE GARLAND //
I am a fully qualified primary school teacher and discovered teaching relaxation in the classroom brought wonderful benefits to children.
I took my degree at the university of Canterbury , completing my sport science BA/ed.
While on maternity I completed three different children’s yoga trainings. Wanting to take my practise further I completed a foundation course with the BWY and I am currently finishing my 200hr TT with Nartana yoga school.
I have been teaching children’s yoga for 12 years in local nurseries, primary schools, after school clubs and yoga studios. I have recently created a mother and daughter yoga class with my 16 year old daughter helping families to make time to bond.

Using games, stories, songs, relaxation, visualisation, meditation, breathing techniques and props children learn to relax and have fun while they develop strength, coordination, flexibility, balance, body awareness, mental focus/concentration, peace and calm, respect for their bodies, other people and the environment around them, positive thinking and self-confidence.
